Directions:
From the South: Travel the most expedient route to connect with Interstate 80 North. Take Interstate 80 North to the Hwy. 49 North Junction in Auburn. Travel North following the sign that leads to Grass Valley. Continue on Hwy 49 through Grass Valley to Nevada City. In Nevada City Highway 49 splits from Hwy. 20 East (which is what you want) Continue traveling straight forward following the sign reading Hwy. 20 East. Aproximately 3.5 miles up Hwy. 20 on the left is our sign that reads: Harmony Ridge Resort. Turn left at this sign and follow the road down to the resort.

From the Northeast: Take Hwy. 20 Southwest to our resort which is located just 3 miles Northeast of Nevada City.

From the West: Take either Hwy. 20 or 49 to Nevada City and stay on Hwy. 20 East. Approximately 3.5 miles from Nevada City up Hwy. 20, on the left, is our sign which reads: Harmony Ridge Resort. Turn left and follow the road down to the resort. We'll keep a light on and keep an eye out for you! Travel safely and we'll see you when you get here.

Resort Profile

This Northern California park is located just 3 miles outside of Nevada City, which is just beyond Grass Valley, heart of the Gold Country, in the Tahoe National Forest among tall pine trees. It's at 3,400 ft. elevation and is cool and comfortable in the summer, and is just below the snow and above the valley fog in the winter months.

If you are an avid fisherman, there is some of the best fishing around just minutes nearby. There are many crystal clear streams and lakes in the area that can hold you captive for days. There are native Brown trout, Rainbows, Bass and Salmon to name a few species. If you are a naturalist, Nevada County has the most beautiful mountains, streams, rivers and meadows you will ever behold with trails to match any level. The area is rich in historical heritage and many tours and points of interest abound. Being in the heart of the Gold Country there are scores of places you can pan for gold. And don't be surprized if you find some color or a nugget or two.

There are many sporting activities that you can enjoy locally depending upon the time of year. There are nearby lakes for skiing and boating. There are trails for hiking, roads for mountain and BMX biking or four-wheelin'. There are quiet places for communing with nature and bird watching. If you are an avid snow skier or snowboarder you will be pleased to know that Boreal Ridge, Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley ski resorts are no more than one and one-half hours drive from us. If you like to shop visit Nevada City with it's unique specailty shops. When we say we have something to do for everyone, we really mean it. So if you are looking for some quiet time in a canoe on a lake or the thrills of a downhill ski run you will find the diversity that few resorts can offer.

Local attractions incude: Boreal Ridge, Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley. Several lakes and streams are nearby for water sports.
